My Writing Technology

As I was sitting at my desk in my room; I was looking around to find some items to use to write. A course I bypassed many of my pens and penicles, of which we all use to write, 99.9 percent of the time. First, I came across a water bottle and thought writing with water could be cool, but water is stubborn and goes wherever it pleases. Then I looked and saw my jar of coins and then to myself, I echoed Jon Lovitz words “that’s the ticket!”

What is Style?

When we write our thoughts on a piece of paper or typing our thoughts on a computer screen, we need a way to organize our thoughts. Put them in order, so they can make sense. Usually the stuff that we write down, we want other people read it too. That is always in the back of a writer’s mind, “someone, other than myself, will read this. So the challenge is get our words in order to make sense and readable. That is style.

I think style is like a tree. The trunk of the tree is what I was describing above, its basic form of style, putting words in order to make sense. The branches represent the styles that ”branch” out from the basic form of style and creating something different. In the tree, the branches are still connected to the trunk. So the branches of style will be poems, and song lyrics, and etc. Those styles, like a branch on tree, is still connected to the basic form of style.

Blog #1

I was given the liberty of writing about whatever my heart desires. The game of football is one of a few things my heart desires. More specifically like following college football and I’m a big supporter of University of Michigan’s football team. Also, I’m a supporter of the Detroit “loveable losers” Lions.

The games this weekend:

Michigan at Notre Dame: Both teams have inexperience quarterbacks, unproved secondary, average running backs, and coaches that are trying to prove to the world that they’re the man for the job. It will be a back and forth game, trading touchdowns and trading field downs. The game will come down to who will make the least mistakes? I see this game ending with the team that has the ball last and it will be Notre Dame with a last second field goal. Notre Dame 38, Michigan 37.

Florida Atlantic vs Michigan State: Can anyone tell me why is this game being played at Ford Field? Michigan State 42, Florida Atlantic 23.

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears: I like the new look offense of the Lions. New wide receiver Nate Burleson will take the double teams away from Calvin Johnson and Jahvid Best will bring speed in the back field. The Defensive line has improved and we hope they can cover up their weak secondary. The Bears are getting old and so is the new guy, Julius Peppers. Also, I’m not liking Mike Martz working with Jay Cutler. Lions 31, Bears 21.
